Manoj Sharma is BetterUp's Senior Vice President of Platform Engineering, leading the Core AI Platform, the Data and Intelligence Platforms, and the Forward Deployed Engineering team.
Manoj joined BetterUp in 2025 from Google, where he was Director of Product Management for Machine Learning, Systems and Cloud AI. At Google, he built and launched Google Cloud VMware Engine, scaling it into one of the fastest-growing enterprise products in Google's IaaS portfolio and serving hundreds of enterprise customers worldwide.
Before Google, Manoj was a founding executive and VP of Product Management at CloudSimple. He delivered a first-party cloud offering on Microsoft Azure and the company was later acquired by Google in 2019. Earlier, as General Manager at Cisco's Cloud BU, he brought to market petabyte-scale ML services, driving over $2B in new business. He also founded and led Forespire, a predictive analytics company for infrastructure software, from inception through acquisition.
Manoj was also a product leader at VMware, where he led the launch of vCenter Capacity IQ - VMware's fastest-growing management solution, which later became a $500M+ product line. He also founded the vCenter Storage Management platform, deployed across 16,000+ customer environments.
Manoj holds an MBA from The Wharton School, where he was named a Palmer Scholar, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, and a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
