Kate Niederhoffer, PhD, is a social psychologist and head of BetterUp Labs, where she leads research at the intersection of psychology and AI — studying how people think, feel, and perform when working with or managing AI. With 20 years of experience applying psychological research to technology-enabled behavior change, her work explores how mindsets, communication, and relationships shape human-AI interaction and organizational culture. She previously founded Sooth (acquired by DreamsCloud) and held leadership roles at Dachis Group and Nielsen Online.
