AUSTIN, TX — May 12, 2026 — BetterUp, the human transformation company and inventor of virtual coaching, today announced Kristian Talvitie as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. As CFO, Talvitie will lead finance, accounting, and investor relations across the company, driving the growth strategy that will define BetterUp's next chapter.

The announcement comes at a pivotal moment for BetterUp. AI is disrupting industries, reshaping roles, and forcing organizations to transform at an unprecedented pace. Hundreds of global enterprise leaders navigating that disruption increasingly turn to BetterUp to develop their workforces so their businesses can perform in the AI era. Talvitie's arrival signals commitment to further establish BetterUp's category creation and the disciplined, profitable growth its customers expect.

"I've spent my career at the intersection of technology and transformation, and what BetterUp is building is unlike anything else in the market," said Kristian Talvitie, Chief Financial Officer of BetterUp. "The combination of AI, coaching, and science — delivered at enterprise scale — creates a category that is differentiated, durable and tied to business performance that resonates in boardrooms. I'm here because I believe BetterUp has the platform, the team, and the mission to define this space. I'm excited to help build the financial foundation that gets us there."

Talvitie joins BetterUp from PTC, the global industrial software company, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2019 to 2025. During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening PTC’s position at the forefront of industrial software. Prior to PTC, he served as CFO of Syncsort (now Precisely), and Sovos Compliance, where he built a track record of scaling high-growth, global software businesses by bringing financial discipline, operational rigor, and strategic clarity to each stage of growth.

"The CFOs defining the next era of enterprise understand that investing in your people is the strategic advantage that leads to more capital," said Alexi Robichaux, CEO & Co-Founder of BetterUp. "Kristian deeply understands this, not only for our business but for the customers we serve. He has built and led world-class financial teams at some of the most respected software companies in the world and we are thrilled to have his perspective and leadership in this next chapter."

Earlier in his career, Talvitie held senior finance roles at PTC, including Corporate Vice President of Finance and Vice President of FP&A, where he helped shape financial strategy and operational execution across the business. He also brought a strong commercial lens to his leadership roles at Plexus, including Vice President of Marketing and Market Sector Vice President, where he led commercial strategy across $400M+ industrial, defense, and aerospace business segments. He also holds an MS in Management from Boston University and a BA in Psychology from Allegheny College.
